Date: Saturday, October 24th
Time:9 PM – Midnight
Location:The Ship – West Bottoms

This October, Queer Bar Takeover is taking over The Ship for our Halloween Extravaganza, a night of costumes, music, dancing, performances, and queer joy in one of the West Bottoms’ most iconic spaces.

Halloween has always been a night to dress a little bolder, try on another version of yourself, and have some fun with who you want to be. That feels pretty perfect for our community.
So pull out the costume, bring your friends, and come ready for a night together.

There is one catch: The Ship only holds 500 people. We wish we could squeeze everyone aboard, but alas, even The Ship has its limits. This will be one of our smallest-capacity Takeovers, and we expect tickets to sell out quickly. If you want to join us, get your tickets early.
And as always, we're using the party to do some good. This month's charity benefactor is AIDS Service Foundation, with proceeds from our raffle supporting their work in the Kansas City community.

Tickets
Early Bird: First 25 tickets only $5
Online: Starting at $8
Last Call: $10
The Ship only holds 500 people, making this one of our most limited Takeovers. We wish we could fit everyone, but alas, once those 500 tickets are gone, they're gone.
Get yours early at QueerBarTakeover.com.

Charity Raffle + Community Builder Wristband
This month's Halloween Extravaganza benefits AIDS Service Foundation, supporting their work in the fight against HIV/AIDS and the organizations providing prevention, education, care, and support throughout our community.
Purchase a raffle ticket and you'll receive a silver Community Builder wristband, giving you 20% off drinks all night and access to the Express Bar, plus your chance to win some great raffle prizes.
It's one of our favorite parts of Takeover: hundreds of us coming together for a great night and using that collective energy to give something back.

The Venue
If we're going to throw a Halloween party, The Ship feels like the place to do it.
Tucked into the West Bottoms, it's weird, wonderful, historic, and full of character before we add a single Halloween decoration. For one night, we're filling it with costumes, music, performers, dancing, and 500 members of our community. It's going to be cozy. It's going to be a little wild. And it's going to be fun.

What to Expect
• Costumes highly encouraged
• DJs and dancing
• Drag and live performances
• Halloween photo moments
• Charity raffle benefiting AIDS Service Foundation
• 500 LGBTQ+ people and allies
• Plenty of surprises throughout the night

Come in Costume
Scary, sexy, campy, clever, elaborate, ridiculous, or something nobody understands until you explain it.
It's Halloween. Go for it. Costumes aren't required, but this is definitely the night to have some fun with it.

Transportation & Parking
Parking is available throughout the West Bottoms, but we expect the neighborhood to be busy Halloween weekend.
Rideshares and carpooling are encouraged.

The Mission
Queer Bar Takeover transforms Kansas City spaces into places where LGBTQ+ people and allies can gather, connect, dance, and celebrate together.
Every Takeover also raises money for a local nonprofit doing important work in our community.
This month, we're bringing it all aboard The Ship for Halloween Extravaganza.
A really good party. A really good cause. And only 500 spots.
Get your ticket and we'll see you on the dance floor.
