Join us for our Queer Books & Banter, where we encourage a theme rather than a specific book so you can choose something you really want to read and talk about!

Reading Recs:

Jonny Appleseed is a Two-Spirit/Indigiqueer youth trying to make his way in life in the city, but with seven days to make it back home for a funeral, Jonny must come to terms with his difficult past as he plans for the future. Come discuss this Canada Reads winning novel and all that the story offers us in truths about indigenous life in Canada. - Fifteen Dogs by André Alexis
Another Canada Reads winning novel, André Alexis' Fifteen Dogs explores human nature and intelligence. Two gods bet whether human intelligence is wasted on our species and grant it to fifteen dogs to determine if their lives would be better lived with human intelligence. Come discuss the benefits and burdens of human consciousness with us!
