🎲✨ Queer Quests - Beginner Night ✨🎲
Ever wanted to give D&D or other TTRPGs a try, but felt too nervous to jump in? This is your chance!
Queer Quests' Beginner Night is a dedicated session for folks who've never played a TTRPG before - no experience, no dice, and no character required.
Hosted at Sentry Box Games, it's a relaxed, welcoming space designed to bring Calgary's 2SLGBTQIA+ community together through storytelling, adventure, and imagination. Experienced GMs will walk you through everything step by step, so you can just sit back, relax, and have fun.
What's included:
- Pre-made characters examples and blank character sheets
- Dice & supplies available for use
- Friendly, inclusive Game Master's to guide you through your first session
- A welcoming space for Calgary's 2SLGBTQIA+ community and our allies
What to bring:
- Already have a D&D 5e character you'd like to use instead? Feel free to bring it along (level 3, please).
- Any dice, books, and questions you have!
- Your amazing self 💜

💸 Cost: Free!
Please note that The Sentry Box is made up of two separate business entities. To access the building, please enter through the west entrance into the Sentry Box, not The Sentry Box Cards. We’ll be on the upper mezzanine or back room depending on availability. Signs will be placed on the tables to help folks find us!
Please also be aware that the upstairs portion of this event is not wheelchair accessible due to the approximately 9 stairs into the building. But we usually have a table setup in the downstairs section for folks who struggle with stairs! Please feel free to send us an email at hello@queercalgary.ngo to let us know in advance.
