April Edition: At the Intersection of Queerness and Tech

Details

Welcome to Queer Coded, Frederick’s only in-person meetup to bring LGBTQIA+/GNC techies of all stripes and skill levels together. Whether you're a seasoned professional, a hobbyist, or a student, this group is for anyone interested in networking, sharing resources, discussing the latest trends in technology, or discussing experiences as LGBTQIA+/GNC folx in (or interested in) tech.

April's Topic: The Intersection of Queerness and Tech
Whether you're a tech professional or not, our lives are intertwined with technology - be it smartphones and social media, games, aspects of our jobs, or the spread of information online. How does our identity inform our interactions with technology, and how does technology affect our lives as LGBTQIA+/GNC folx?

Where (UPDATED!): C. Burr Artz Public Library Study Room 3 (subject to change again if more space is needed)

What to bring: yourself and a means of communicating with other folx!

Loosey-Goosey Agenda:

  • 11:15ish, or after folks have settled in: intros
  • 11:30ish: Casual topic discussion
  • 12:45ish: start wrapping up, swap contact info or LinkedIns if desired
  • 1pm: Banishment from the study room
