## Queer Salsa Classes Every Thursday

Starting Thursday, 22 October 2026, Queer Salsa Vienna offers two weekly classes at Villa Vida Café. Both sessions welcome people who want to explore salsa in a queer-centred and gender-inclusive environment.

### 18:30 – Beginner Salsa Class

Never danced salsa before? This class is for you!
Learn the basic steps, discover salsa rhythms, and build your confidence in a supportive atmosphere. Our beginner classes focus on making dancing enjoyable and accessible, regardless of your previous experience.
Additionally, you can explore different dance roles without gender-based expectations. Everyone is encouraged to learn, experiment, and move at their own pace.

### 19:30 – Improver Salsa Class

Already familiar with the basics? Our improver class helps you take your salsa skills further.
Build on your existing knowledge, practise new combinations, and develop your confidence in partner dancing. Furthermore, you’ll have opportunities to explore different movements and ways of connecting through dance.
The improver class is ideal for dancers who have some salsa experience and want to continue learning.

## Salsa Without Assigned Gender Roles

Traditional partner dancing often assigns leading and following roles based on gender. However, Queer Salsa Vienna takes a different approach.
There are no assigned gender roles in our classes. Instead, participants can explore dance roles independently of their gender identity or expression.
We welcome LGBTQIA+ people and allies who respect our inclusive approach. Whether you identify as queer, are questioning, or simply want to dance in a welcoming environment, you’re invited to participate.
Above all, our goal is to create a space where people can enjoy dancing, connect with others, and express themselves freely.

## Pay-As-You-Like Salsa Classes

We believe that financial circumstances shouldn’t prevent people from enjoying dance and community.
Therefore, our queer salsa classes operate on a pay-as-you-like basis. You can contribute according to your financial means.
You also don’t need to bring a dance partner. Come on your own or with others, and enjoy meeting people through movement and music
