This is the second activity of our Queer Expats group—a friendly space for LGBTQIA+ newcomers and allies.
If you are foreign, queer, and feeling a bit lonely in Australia, come and meet friends who understand what starting fresh feels like.

Let’s begin with coffee and exquisite French pastries at La Renaissance Patisserie, then dive into Sydney’s oldest quarter with history, markets, and plenty of conversation.

• 10:00 – 10:45 | La Renaissance Dessert Welcome
Meet outside La Renaissance Patisserie (47 Argyle St).
Enjoy world-class pastries and coffee (pay-as-you-go), break the ice, and start the morning with laughter and connection.
• 10:45 – 12:00 | Rocks Discovery Museum
Step back into the 1800s and explore how convicts, sailors, and merchants built the neighbourhood that gave Sydney its heartbeat.
• 12:00 – 1:00 | The Rocks Market Stroll
Wander vibrant stalls of handmade art, jewellery, and local treats while soaking up harbour views.
• 1:00 onward | Optional Late Lunch & Mingling
For those who’d like to keep chatting, we’ll gather nearby for a relaxed late lunch—totally optional and easy-going.
