Advanced Hike to Griffith Park Peak (Captain’s Roost)

Yay cooler weather!!!

This is an advanced and long hike up to the peak behind the Observatory. We will walk at a brisk pace and take several breaks. Water, sunscreen, uv protective clothing/covering, and appropriate shoes are highly suggested. This is a great way to work out and make friends! Come through!

The uphill part will be done before it gets too warm. We can enjoy the sun if it decides to come out on our descent back to the starting point.

Find a spot at the parking lot at the top of Fern Dell. GPS coordinates are (34.1176224, -118.3071022). If using google maps, it will try to take you a weird way through the park. Just go up Fern Dell off of Los Feliz Blvd.

Total duration last time was about 2 hours and we stopped several times for breaks.
