Queer Beach Day

Join this year's Queer Beach Day at Carcavelos for a day to swim, play, relax, connect, and enjoy the sunshine together with our queer community.

I don't know about you, but life has been feeling increasingly stressful, and sometimes what we need most is a little space to simply be together. Queer Beach Day is our chance to step away from the noise, spend time by the sea, meet new people and familiar faces, and enjoy a carefree summer day surrounded by community.

This has become a bit of an annual tradition for Queer Lisbon, and we’re so happy to be returning to Carcavelos for our fourth consecutive year. Whether you want to swim, play games, chat, sunbathe, read, nap, or simply exist peacefully on the sand, you’re very welcome.

We’ve chosen Carcavelos again because it’s one of the easiest beaches to reach from both central Lisbon and the Cascais area. The beach is a short walk from Carcavelos train station, on the Cascais line.
Carcavelos also has plenty of beach bars, cafés and shops for last-minute essentials, as well as showers and toilet facilities.

Trains run regularly from Cais do Sodré, with the journey taking around 30 minutes. You can also come directly by Uber or Bolt if that’s easier for you.
