What to Expect
Join us for nature, connection and contemplation at Lake Anza in Tilden Regional Park. This is a gentle, contemplative gathering outside, not an intense hike.
Meeting Point: Lake Anza parking lot at Tilden
Tentative Schedule (subject to change):
• Grounding & Check-in – We begin in circle with a simple icebreaker to arrive together
• Social Meditation – Out loud noting practice to settle into presence and each other
• Four Elements Meditative Walk – A slow walk around the lake, tuning into earth, water, fire (sun), and air with awareness
• Picnic Lunch– Casual hanging & eating
• Tree Connection Practice – Notice which tree draws you. Sit under it, listen to what arises, and make an offering.
• Circle Sharing – Return to share what you noticed with the group
• Closing Reflection– We complete the circle together
What to Bring:
• Lunch for the picnic and plenty of water
• An offering for a tree – traditional options include flowers, herbs, tobacco, or water
Accessibility Note: The walk around Lake Anza is partially wheelchair accessible, but not entirely. Wheelchair users are welcome to participate in what’s accessible or practice the meditative walk independently during that portion, as it will be done in silence. All bodies and mobility levels welcome
