What to Expect

Join us for nature, connection and contemplation at Lake Anza in Tilden Regional Park. This is a gentle, contemplative and social gathering outside, not an intense hike or purely silent retreat. This event will be on the full moon!

Meeting Point: Lake Anza parking lot at Tilden
Carpooling Link: [https://www.groupcarpool.com/t/7bnw63](Carpooling)

Sample Schedule (SUBJECT TO CHANGE):

• 10-10:30 - Grounding & Check-in – We begin in circle with a grounding stretchy moment and check ins with a simple icebreaker to arrive together
Group Noting Meditation – Out loud noting practice to settle into presence and each other
Silent Meditation – Out loud noting practice to settle into presence and each other
Walking Meditation – A slow walk around the lake or the grassy field, tuning into earth, water, fire (sun), and air with awareness
Tree Connection Practice – Notice which tree draws you. Sit under it, look and listen to what arises as a form of meditation, and make an offering.
Guided Relational Practice - Dyad/Triad Conversational or Relational Games
Circle Sharing with Tea– Return to share what you noticed with the group

• 12:30pm - Optional Picnic Lunch - Casual hanging & eating

What to Bring:
• Lunch for the picnic and plenty of water
• An offering for a tree – traditional options include flowers, herbs, tobacco, or water
• A mug if you would like tea!
• Layers

Accessibility Note: The walk around Lake Anza is partially wheelchair accessible, but many parts are rocky and uneven. Wheelchair users are welcome to participate in what’s accessible or practice the meditative walk independently on the grassy field during that portion, as it will be done in silence. All bodies and mobility levels welcome

Inclement Weather: If there is severe cold below 35°, heavy rain, fire or storm of any kind the event will be cancelled with a day’s notice. We will still meet if there is light rain, fog, or lower temps. Please come prepared for the elements!
