A very big welcome to our friendly queer and inclusive writing group!
We meet every week on Monday evenings (UK time). We've been going since 2018! Those coming for the first time, IT'S ESSENTIAL you read below about how to join the meetings.
Here's the schedule of the group:
7.30-9.00 Say hi and personal writing time
9.00-9.30 Discussion*
The aim of the group is to provide a shared and safe space for people who regard themselves as part of the queer community to write together. It is intended for you to work on your own writing, whatever form that takes. You can drop in and drop out as you wish.
* The discussion is open and can take different directions. Typically, it focuses on writing: sharing of work, asking and answering questions, and so on. Taking part is optional.
How to access: Previously the Zoom link was always on this page. Due to occasional interruptions from 'Zoom bombers', in order to protect this as a safe space I've introduced the following steps for joining a meeting:
New attendees wishing to join a meeting please message me personally on Meetup. I'll then send you a very short list of questions aiming to determine your interest and suitability is genuine and, once this was clear, I would send you the link. (Please allow a little turnaround time for me to get back to you.)
Previous attendees should just drop me a line and I'll send you the new link.
