Let’s enjoy some nature together before it gets too hot! Huntley Meadows offers a nice mostly flat walk through the woods and into a protected marshland with plentiful wildlife including birds, frogs, turtles, and a beaver or two if we’re lucky! It’s gorgeous and really feels like being out in nature although we get to stay in Alexandria :)

We will meet at the benches outside the Nature Center (a short walk from the parking lot) at 10am and do a loop into the marshlands.

Folks can join for as much or as little walking as desired; it’s only 1-3 miles to explore the park. We can also explore the nature center or picnic a bit before/after our walk as desired.

Kids and dogs will love this one so bring the family :)
