QueerTech is excited to support this nonprofit initiative focused on homelessness leading up to QTQ!

Looking to make a meaningful impact in community health and equity? Join us for an interactive, community-driven workshop at the Community Brain Health and Homelessness Symposium - an ancillary event of CBRC’s 2026 Summit.

This collaborative event will bring people together to share knowledge, experiences, and ideas to support brain health and advance equity for people experiencing homelessness. By taking part in the Summit, participants will shed light on the latest ways to help people live happier, healthier, and longer lives despite reactionary interests pushing back against equity, inclusion, and liberation.

Join us for an interactive workshop that brings together members of the 2S/LGBTQIA+ community, people with lived experience, frontline workers, researchers, and healthcare providers to share knowledge and perspectives on brain health needs. Through guided discussions and activities, participants will help identify practical, community-driven ways to recognize when people may need brain health support.

Our speakers include:

  • Galo F. Ginocchio, MScCH (AMH) – University of Toronto – Dalla Lana School of Public Health
  • Dr. Carolyn Lemsky, Ph.D., C. Psych. – Community Head Injury Resource Services (CHIRS)
  • Dr. Flora Matheson, PhD – MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions & Unity Health Toronto, University of Toronto – Dalla Lana School of Public Health

We welcome people with lived experience of homelessness, brain health concerns, and/or sex- or gender-based barriers, inequities, or discrimination. We also welcome those who work alongside these communities, including researchers, students, clinicians, volunteers, and community advocates. Register here.

This event is not hybrid (it is marked as such to support registration and location markers).
