9:00 A.M. Hike: Little Mountain/Doe Hill FR/Stafford Lake Trail/ 885 Sutro Ave.

Join us for the (twice postponed because of rain) up and back 4.4 mile hike at Little Mountain Open Space Preserve. The hike begins at the entrance of O'Hair Park at 885 Sutro Ave., Novato, CA. The first 1.3 miles is flat and easy, then the difficulty goes to 5 with an elevation change of 600'. We begin at the O'Hair Park entrance, take a left on the Little Mountain Trail which then joins the Doe Hill Fire Road. This trail follows the base of Little Mountain. We will cross over at the end of Center Road and take the Stafford Lake Trail. We will climb up and get hilltop views of the surrounding open space. We will then turn back. Depending on the pace, this hike will take from 1 3/4 hours to 2 hours.
Wear layered clothing, hiking footwear, and hiking poles if needed. The hike will begin at 9:05. Please let us know if you are joining us.

DIRECTIONS: From HWY 101, take the Atherton Ave/San Marin Drive exit. Head west on San Marin Drive. When San Marin Drive crosses Novato BLVD, the street name changes to Sutro Avenue. Continue straight on Sutro Avenue for about 200 yards. Parking is to the right.
