Join us for a moderately difficult 3.94 mile loop hike at Deer Island Preserve located at 296 Deer Island Lane. We will begin the hike at the right hand portion of the Deer Island Loop Trail. After hiking 2/3 of this trail, we will take the De Borba Trail which ascends to an elevation gain of 273 feet. This is a steady climb which levels out and descends back to the Deer Island Loop Trail. When we get back to the starting point of the hike, we will then head left and complete the lower loop in reverse. The hike takes about an hour and forty minutes to complete.
Let us know if you are joining us. The hike begins at 9:05 to honor everyone's time. Wear hiking footwear, and layered clothing. There are no facilities at this site. Park near the trailhead.
Directions: From HWY 101, take the Atherton Avenue Exit, and head east for 1.7 miles. Turn Right on Olive Avenue. Travel 0.6 of a mile and turn left on Deer Island Lane.
