Thursday 20 August 2026, 2pm–4pm
Saltash Studios, 24 Fore Street, Saltash, PL12 6JL
Free | 10 places
Come and spend a relaxed creative afternoon alongside other quieter people at Saltash Studios.
This free get-together is for adults who are introverted, shy or highly sensitive, experience social anxiety, or simply prefer quieter, lower-pressure ways of being with other people.
Sometimes it’s easier to spend time with people when there’s something to do together. So rather than arriving and having to make conversation straight away, there’ll be creative activities around the room to explore at your own pace.
You might chat while you’re creating, enjoy being quietly alongside other people, or simply focus on what you’re doing.

### Creative activities

#ReframeQuiet poster making
Explore quiet strengths through artwork. You can create your own poster, with colouring sheets available if you’d prefer an easier creative starting point.
HushFest song lyric art
Listen to the HushFest Song and use it as inspiration for something creative.
Textiles and beginner crochet
Explore wool and beginner crochet patterns, with materials, instructions and examples available to help you get started.
We’ll also have our familiar Quiet Connections activities available, including colouring sheets, word searches and writing paper.
Everything is optional. You might try all three activities, choose just one, bring along a creative project of your own, or simply have a cup of tea and enjoy being around other quieter people.
Chatting is welcome, but it isn’t expected.

### What to expect

We’re keeping the get-together small, with up to 10 places, so please sign up to secure your place.
There’ll be time to arrive, get a drink and settle in before exploring what’s available. There won’t be an icebreaker or an expectation to introduce yourself to the whole group.
Ellie from Quiet Connections will be there to welcome everyone and join in with the afternoon too.
All the essential creative materials will be provided, along with free tea and coffee. We’ll also have a set of headphones and an MP3 player for the HushFest Song, or you can use your own phone and headphones. A QR code will be available to access the song.
You’re welcome to bring your own creative materials, a project you’re already working on, or your own snacks and drinks if you prefer.

### Finding us

We’ll be in the Kitchen/Workshop inside Saltash Studios.
