About us
Qworum is a software company whose mission is to transform the Web into a full-featured application platform (=AP) that is fit for today's and tomorrow's world.
This Meetup group is a place for discussions amongst application developers, CIOs and CTOs etc about what the Qworum platform is today, what is on Qworum's roadmap and what else should be there.
Exchanges that happen here will happen on many levels, from code to technical to architectural to business.
Some of the topics that are top-of-mind:
- Surpassing desktop and mobile — What could Qworum enable for applications that the single-node platforms such as the mobile and desktop OSes cannot? Why are webapps still single-site apps, although the Web is a distributed platform?
- Going AI-native — What should an AI-native AP look like? Today's APs (OSes, PaaSes etc) have all fallen behind the times, and none of them really know how to approach the AI-support problem. How can Qworum fill this market gap?
- AI agents — Platform users are no longer only humans. How should an AP be structured to support AI alongside humans?
- Integrated user experiences — Today's employees are juggling multiple application to do their jobs. How can multiple applications be combined into one single application to simplify the user's experience?
- Secure integrations — SaaS vendors are using the OAuth protocol for enabling integrations. Yet OAuth has many security problems, which represents a big breach risk for SaaS vendors. What does a secure integration look like, and who provides it?
- Making SaaS a vibrant ecosystem — Application integration today is very bothersome. And for software buyers, mixing-and-matching unrelated best-in-class applications is largely impractical. So buyers who value integrations tend to gravitate toward suite vendors. How to combine the practicality of application suites with the quality of best-of-breed application sets, and so unlock innovation in the SaaS ecosystem overall?
- Dynamic business ecosystems — IT integration after mergers-and-acquisitions is more costly than it needs to be. And that's because facilitating such market transactions isn't a priority for app/suite vendors. How can an AP factor in such business concerns?
- … Plus some of the member suggestions that are to come, probably.
