R Community Kickoff 2025: Gamify, Write, Connect

Welcome to the first R event of 2025!

We’re excited to kick off the year with an inspiring gathering at the Rovio offices in Keilaniemi. Join us for an evening of insightful talks, knowledge sharing, and community connection.

• Zampeta Legaki will walk us through GANDALF, a two-year, EU-funded research project dedicated to the study of Gamification in Data Analytics and Forecasting Education.
• Antti Rask will share his journey of writing his ggplot2 extended book with Quarto, highlighting the challenges he faced and the tips and tricks he discovered along the way.

In addition to the talks, we'll have the opportunity to network and connect with fellow attendees over coffee during the event.

You are welcome to join us starting at 16:50. Wait by the main entrance and someone will open the door for you. Rovio offices are located at Keilaranta 7, Espoo (3 minutes walk from the Keilaniemi stop).

Please note that:

• Doors will be opened until a few minutes after 5PM, but might be closed later on during the talks. If someone wants to join later, try to let us know in advance
• If you'd like to use Rovio's parking spot, let us know at the reception during the event
