Southwest Ridge Loop Trail - 5-7 mile moderate hike

This hike is located at Southwest Ridge Park. This hike is solidly moderate. There is a large hill at the beginning of the hike, and the another medium sized hill before it flattens out into more moderate elevation change. There is no scrambling in this hike. There is some scree, especially during the hill hikes. Please bring appropriate footwear! This hike is a very long loop, so we will instead be down out and back hence the 5-7 mile range. We will see what everyone is feeling like on Sunday.

This is one of my favorite hikes in Las Vegas. After you crest the hills, it flattens out into a ridge. There are great views of Red Rock on one side and views of Las Vegas on the other.

There is plenty of parking and also nice bathrooms. As with other hikes, I will be disabling guests to keep more spots open. You are welcome to still bring guests. My wife will be joining us but is not signed up.
