Details
Join us at RAF Ingham to remember and honor the victims of the Katyn tragedy together.
KATYN 2026 – Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Katyn Massacre
Sunday, 12 April 2026 | 3:00 PM (doors open) | RAF Ingham Heritage Centre (Polish Bomber Squadrons Centre), Fillingham, Lincolnshire
On 10 April 1940, the Soviet NKVD began the systematic execution of over 22,000 Polish officers, intellectuals, professionals, and civilians in Katyn Forest and other sites — a war crime hidden for decades by Soviet lies.
This April, on the 86th anniversary, join us at RAF Ingham — a site deeply tied to the heroism of Polish airmen who flew with the RAF during WWII — for our first on-site film and lecture event.
Programme:
- A special talk in English by a qualified historian from the Polish Institute of National Remembrance (IPN), providing historical context and insights into this tragic chapter.
- Screening of Andrzej Wajda’s powerful 2007 film Katyń (in Polish with English subtitles) — a deeply personal dramatization (Wajda’s own father was a victim) that stands as a cinematic act of remembrance.
- Drinks and light refreshments served.
Places are strictly limited and allocated first-come, first-served.
This is a ticketed event: £10 per person. Places are strictly limited and allocated first-come, first-served.
