Route 21 Cycle Ride Across Sussex

Details
Our ride today will take advantage of the Avenue Verte cycle route (London to Paris) with a long but leisurely cycle ride through the delights of the Sussex countryside. We will start at Polegate and head north on the Cuckoo Trail, another former railway route now converted by Sustrans into a traffic-free cycle trail. The route includes villages and former stations on the way; it is level with good surface and signage. We continue along Sustrans Route 21 via quiet lanes to finish at Eridge which benefits from the Spa Valley steam railway and Harrisons Rocks. We can join trains here for London or option to extend the route along the Forest Row Sustrans route to East Grinstead (via Pooh Corner and tea shop). Route suitable for all cycles.
