St Albans History Railway Walk
Details
This history walk follows the Ver Valley and Alban Way from Bricket Wood towards Hatfield. Walk starts at the restored LNER Edwardian station with its tearoom which has many period photos on display. We then follow the Ver Valley trail to St Albans, then we join the Alban Way which runs along a former railway line from St Albans to Hatfield. The trail has been created by Sustrans, with information boards on route showing the history of the railway and the industry and villages served by it. There are several former stations on route which have been partly restored with artwork displayed. We then reach Hatfield Galleria for buses back to the start.
