About us
Welcome to Rainbow Spinnakers Sailing Club, a friendly and inclusive community for LGBTQ+ people who share a passion for sailing. Whether you’re a newcomer to the sport or an old salt, our group offers the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals, learn new skills, and embark on sailing adventures together. All are welcome, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. Regular sails take place most weekends from around April through late November, and we host two annual parties. We hope you’ll join us on the waterways of Washington DC and Chesapeake Bay!

Regatta at Gay Games Valencia
La Marina de València, Carrer del Moll de la Duana, s/n, València, Va, ESRegistration is open to compete in the Gay Games in Valencia, Spain! Teams will race Comet 21's in either the competitive (spinnaker) or recreational (non-spinnaker) regattas. We'll be forming teams based on interest from our members; it appears that four people are on each boat. Some sailing experience is required to compete (ASA 101 or comparable), you do not have to have raced before. I will probably be looking to skipper a recreational boat.
