Discovering Rosh Hashanah

Our Meet Up®, Raising Faith® gathers godparents, parents, youth and teen ministry leaders, clergy, and educators, essentially all, prioritizing faith in raising children and teens. These gatherings are designed to better equip adults, caring for kids, teens, and young adults, with information and strategies to explore a range of subjects with them. We are starting the Meet Up® with an event to strengthen interfaith understanding, a celebration of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.

Discovering Rosh Hashanah, is designed for people of all faith backgrounds to explore the meaning, customs, rituals, and foods associated with this holiday. Guided by clergy from Chicago's Temple Shalom, this activity will provide context and information for the holiday, so attendees can better familiarize their godchildren, children, students, youth ministries, and congregations with its nuances. This premiere event will include a traditional Rosh Hashanah dinner, so there will be a fee for the meal. Space is limited.
