Bicentennial of the Birth of Baha'u'llah : 200 Years of Vision

Details

Some events offer a rare glimpse into a religion, clarifying doctrine, demonstrating ritual, and celebrating the impact of practice both personally and for the world. Festivities are planned worldwide amongst those practicing the Baha'i faith, honoring the birth of Baha'u'llah, one of the religion's founders; and they have extended a special invitation to us, Raising Faith! In the legendary South Shore Cultural Center, Chicago Bahai's have planned a unique celebration of their faith for the community. The event is a great opportunity to explore the Baha'i faith and share interfaith pearls with your children, godchildren, students, or youth and teen ministry. With the only, U.S. temple center in Wilmette, Illinois, many practicing the faith turn to the local Baha'i community to take the lead for this celebration. On October 21st, they are host an evening of interactive exhibits, performances and presentations, highlighting 200 years of religious practice. Join Raising Faith for this special event and discover the nuances of this religion that cherishes a loving God, a common humanity, gender equality, and family for a peaceful, just & united world. ( NB: Once signing-up with Raising Faith, you will be sent instructions to complete registration for this free event.)
