Let's take a free, private docent-led tour of the North Carolina Museum of Art. We will be taking the Women Artists Tour, which focuses on the innovations, techniques, and resilience of female-identified creators from the 19th century to the present day, some of which the artists contributions have historically been overlooked or minimized. You will explore how women artists have shaped major movements like Impressionism, Abstract Expressionism, and Contemporary art and learn personal stories and societal pressures behind the art.

Our private tour starts promptly at 10:30am and should last about 50 minutes, but will likely go slightly longer to 11:45am.

It is just for the ladies registered, as our reservation is limited. When our guide is speaking about a piece, please stand in a wide semi-circle. Avoid crowding directly in front of the art so the entire group has a clear, unobstructed view.

Meeting Place: TBD

Parking: The museum has two parking lots; you can go left or right when you enter the main entrance. If you go left, it will take you around the museum, and you will walk to the West Building. If you make a right, that parking lot will have a pathway down to the West Building. Whichever lot you choose, give yourself plenty of time to park and walk to the museum.
Accessible spots are located just outside of the East Building, adjacent to Gipson Plaza.

I hope you can make it :-)

If your plans change, remember to update your RSVP at least 24 hours before the start time of the event so that someone else can attend. Don't be a flake.

The event starts on time, or a little early, so give yourself plenty of time to find parking and walk to the building to meet us.

RSVPs will start again as a waitlist and new and reliable members have priority. If there are spots remaining, those with previous no-shows will be added to attending, about a week before the event. This ensures we can keep having our private art tours.
