The Mother Wound —Are We Subconsciously Seeking the Love We Didn’t Receive?
This meetup will focus on how the absence—or distortion—of the mother figure shapes our self-worth, our attachment styles, our spiritual growth, and the way we give and receive love.
In this powerful, introspective discussion, we’ll explore what it means to grow up with a distant, critical, overprotective, or emotionally unavailable mother—and how those early experiences influence the way we show up in dating, relationships, and our spiritual journeys.
We’ll explore questions like:
- How has your relationship with your mother—or lack of one—influenced your ability to receive love, nurture yourself, and feel emotionally safe?
- If your mother was emotionally unavailable, do you notice yourself choosing unavailable partners?
- Did you inherit patterns of self-sacrifice, over-giving, or people-pleasing from your mother’s example?
- Would you (or do you) date someone who grew up without a strong, loving maternal presence? How do you think that impacts their relationships?
- Are your standards in love rooted in self-worth and spiritual alignment or in survival patterns shaped by early conditioning?
- What does “healthy feminine energy”look like?
- How does unhealed maternal energy show up in dating, intimacy, and emotional availability?
- Do you believe someone with a deep mother wound can form secure, healthy relationships without doing the inner healing work first?
- Are you unconsciously seeking the love you didn’t receive from your mother through your romantic partners—or resisting it altogether?
- How does the presence or absence of nurturing impact emotional regulation, trust, and relational security?
- Has your spiritual journey helped you release distorted beliefs around love, worthiness, or what it means to be cared for?
- As you grow spiritually, does the part of you that may have been wounded by your mother trust that healthy, unconditional love exists?
- What patterns, beliefs, or coping mechanisms did you inherit from your mother that you are now choosing to keep, release, or transform?
- Would you be a different person today if your mother had been able to fully see, hear, and nurture you?
- How can your spiritual practices help you reparent yourself and attract relationships aligned with your healing and growth?

Expect thoughtful dialogue, real stories, and shared wisdom in a supportive and sacred setting.
All spiritual paths and belief systems are welcome as long as they’re practiced with curiosity, respect, and an open heart. This is a space for spiritually curious, heart-centered individuals, not dogma or debate. If you meet someone here you resonate with, trust your intuition and say hello!
I created this space because, like many of you, I’ve found that walking a spiritual path while navigating relationships can feel… layered. The deeper I went into healing my own patterns, the more I craved conversations with people who understood the nuances of this journey. After seeing many of my clients struggle with the same challenges, I knew this community needed to exist.
