Ghosting: Compassionate Boundaries or Emotional Immaturity?
This meetup will focus on whether or not ghosting is ever justified or is it always an act of emotional avoidance? In this open, mindful discussion, we’ll explore the emotional and energetic sides of ghosting: why people do it, how it impacts our sense of safety and worth and what it can teach us about boundaries, avoidance, and self-awareness.
When energy disconnects before words do and someone disappears instead of communicating, is that protecting their peace or disregarding someone else’s humanity?
During this discussion, we’ll explore questions like:
- Is ghosting an act of self-protection, emotional immaturity or both?
- Does someone owe you closure— or is closure something you create for yourself?
- Is ghosting sometimes a subconscious way to avoid emotional intimacy?
- Is it possible to be physically intimate but emotionally ghosted?
- Does ghosting after sharing an intimate experience with someone create a stronger energetic imprint than ghosting before?
- When we share energy with someone through intimacy, are we more responsible for how we leave?
- Is it possible to “energetically ghost”(pull back emotionally without explanation) while still being in contact with them?
- Is honesty always kind — or can silence be a form of compassion?
- How does attachment style influence our likelihood to ghost or be ghosted?
- What’s the difference between ghosting and consciously choosing distance?
- How can we communicate endings without over-explaining or taking on guilt?
- If you've been ghosted in the past, did the experience reveal any unhealed patterns for you?
- How do you rebuild trust in dating after being ghosted?
- Does online dating make disappearing too easy — and accountability too rare?
- Are there people we’re not meant to forgive in this lifetime and can you justify that spiritually?
- Can you truly love someone and still consciously choose to disappear?
- What would conscious, compassionate disconnection really look like and are you willing to practice it?
Expect thoughtful dialogue, real stories, and shared wisdom in a supportive and sacred setting.
All spiritual paths and belief systems are welcome as long as they’re practiced with curiosity, respect, and an open mind. This is a space for spiritually curious, heart-centered individuals and not dogma or debate. This is a space where respectful curiosity is always welcome, so if you meet someone you'd like to know better trust your intuition and say hello!
I created this space because, like many of you, I've found that walking a spiritual path while navigating the world of dating and relationships can feel ...layered. The deeper I went into healing, the more I craved conversation with those who could understand my journey and were also seeking elevation and understanding. After I noticed my clients were also having challenges finding "their tribe" this group was born. If you'd like to learn more about me or the other spaces I hold, you're welcome to visit my website or reach out to me directly!
