Self-love and self-care are often neglected but absolutely essential for our mental, emotional and physical health. This is true for everyone, but it’s especially important for empaths. Empaths absorb more, feel more deeply, and are more affected by various kinds of sensory input happening constantly throughout the day. So we need to be more intentional with how we interact with the world and protect ourselves from becoming completely burnt out and dysregulated.

I feel that understanding yourself better, plants the seeds for greater self-compassion and self-care. And one of the ways you can do that is to find your personality type.

Please join me in reading my favorite enneagram book, The Honest Enneagram, and then gather online for a discussion about the book.

It’s a great introduction to the enneagram, but I thought it still had a fresh and fun way of explaining it even though I had already read several books on the subject. Plus, each number gets a bingo card to see how much of yourself you see in The different personality types, which I thought was fun and helpful.

Also, if anyone is having trouble figuring out their type, please still join us! It can take a while to find the right fit and figure out what truly resonates with you, especially empaths who are prone to absorbing so much from the people around them. But you never know what you might learn from discussing it, and it’s always good to seek out a community of folks who are also on a journey of exploration and learning. I hope to see you there!
