What we’re about

**We meet the fourth Sunday of every month at 3pm! Check individual meeting schedule for our current book.**

Do you find yourself contemplating an abstract concept that would otherwise seem to have not much to do with the humdrum of daily life? Maybe you need something intellectually challenging to tackle with a like-minded group? Do you want to live the good life, but wonder which of the messages circulating in the internet and media constitute true knowledge or epistemic truths? Are you in search for meaning because you find the ideals you grew up with shattered by your experience of the world? And lastly, do you wonder what the greatest thinkers human civilization has ever produced have to say about all of these questions?

If you answered Yes to any of them or have other related questions that need an answer, well, maybe this is the group for you. Every 4th Sunday of the month, this group of seekers gets together to talk about the big questions; stumbling around, drunk on a piece of text, at times accidentally knocking our heads into a treasure.

As far as our meeting structure is concerned, we choose philosophical topics to explore for a two-month period, with the first month's event being an organic topic-based discussion, and the following month being a book discussion that builds on the topic. For a given topic discussion, no prior reading is required, but the book selected for that topic period can be useful in helping you develop a perspective, so we suggest reading the book for the topic discussion if you can! Wherever we can, we will also provide links to articles that can be read fairly quickly for that topic. Additionally, these articles will also lend a perspective that may be different from the one provided in the book.

Look forward to meeting and learning from you!
