Drone Meetup at Dorothea Dix January 3rd

Ring in the New Year with our first drone meetup of 2026! While we fly there almost certainly will also be lively conversations about recent government rulings surrounding our hobby. Let’s cut through all of the confusion and settle on where things stand and what we all can do to make our voices heard!

Come to participate or just to spectate - pilots of all experience and flying model type are welcome! FPV, camera drone, heli, RC airplane - we do it all! Our meeting spot is along the long side of the Dorothea Dix "Big Field", adjacent to Barbour Dr. (use GPS directions to 812 Barbour Dr, Raleigh, NC 27603).

In addition to your drone, controller and charged batteries, consider bringing a launchpad, chair and/or folding table, and be prepared to chat with some friendly folks. We'll see you there!
