Crew Clinic questions

Hello, All RSOCers,

Please respond to these questions about Crew Clinic, because we very much want your input! Please send your responses to Dave Sniffin at [address removed].

This letter is directed primarily at those who have participated in the RSOC Crew Clinic at any time in the past, not just 2008. If you have never participated, but are familiar with the event, your ideas are welcome as well.

We are writing to solicit your input on the Crew Clinic. For a variety of reasons, the Crew Clinic may or may not happen in 2008, however, we hope and anticipate that in will occur again in future years. Like everything else, the costs associated with hosting the event has risen, and either the number of participants or the price must rise to avoid a financial loss. The Board members of the Neuse Sailing Association, which hosts this (mostly) annual event, would very much appreciate any feedback you would like to give regarding the trip. Please respond to Dave Sniffin ([address removed]) with any responses to the questions below and / or general comments you may have about the event. Your responses will be forwarded to the NSA for their use in planning future Crew Clinics.

What is your general feeling about the Crew Clinic?

Do you have any suggestions for improvement?

Do you want to do it again? If not why not?

If you haven't been in recent years, what would make you want to return?

Do you think the Crew Clinic should be held on an annual / bi-annual / semi-annual / etc. basis?

Are the Friday / Saturday evening parties important, or is the Sailing all that really matters? This question is asked due to the fact that new noise ordinances in Oriental would require parties to either end earlier, tone down considerably, or move to an indoor venue (at a much higher cost).

It's not unlikely that the Saturday night party would have a DJ rather than a band if the number of participants did not increase significantly - would this be a factor in your decision to sign up?

If you attended Crew Clinic in 2008:

What did you think of the venue for Friday evening (M&M's)?

What did you think of the venue for Saturday evening (The Tiki Bar)?

What did you think about the buffet dinner?

What did you think about the lodging?

Any other comments / suggestions / questions not covered above are welcome. Thanks in advance for your input as well as your past and future support for this great event...
