Dark Carnival 2025: Echoes of the White Star (Cypher)

Welcome back to The Dark Carnival!

Raleigh Tabletop RPGs' annual horror TTRPG event day is back for 2025 and better than ever! 8 fantastic GMs are here to run 8 sessions of spooky, scary, suspenseful, and even silly chills and thrills at RUMAH in downtown Raleigh.

This event is a sign-up for "Echoes of the White Star," a game run using Cypher by RTR member Tom King that will run during the first block of sessions from 11am-3pm. Please see below for all the important details.

Session Title: Echoes of the White Star
System: Cypher
Players: 3-5
Materials: A set of dice, note paper and something to write with are needed. Character Sheets and materials will be provided.
Description: Drifting silent in the void, the derelict "White Star" calls out once more — its distress signal pulsing like a heartbeat in the dark. Your crew boards to salvage what’s left, but within its echoing halls, you’ll find more than wreckage. Strange crystalline growths whisper in radio static, and something inside remembers you. Will you uncover the truth... or become part of the "White Star's" final transmission?
