Welcome back to The Dark Carnival!

Raleigh Tabletop RPGs' annual horror TTRPG event day is back for 2025 and better than ever! 8 fantastic GMs are here to run 8 sessions of spooky, scary, suspenseful, and even silly chills and thrills at RUMAH in downtown Raleigh.

This event is a sign-up for "Cthulhu Ate My Homework. . . And My Homecoming Date," a game run using Teenagers From Outer Space by RTR member Kevin A that will run during the second block of sessions from 4pm-8pm. Please see below for all the important details.

Session Title: Cthulhu Ate My Homework. . . And My Homecoming Date
System: Teenagers From Outer Space
Players: 2-6
Materials: Character sheets will be provided; the game uses d6s (and the GM will have spares)
Description: Earth has made contact with the broader galaxy, which is filled with advanced societies full of amazing science, but lacking in the fascinating culture of Earth. Because of this, all of the alien races have started sending exchange students to Earth to experience human culture. The PCs are all students at one of these "High Schools" on Earth, either humans or alien exchange students.

The week before the Homecoming Dance someone attempting to make a more efficient toaster in shop class accidentally opened a portal to an alternate dimension filled with eldritch entities, leading them to take over the auditorium and causing supernatural events beyond the ken of science. The PCs were worried enough about securing dates for Homecoming, but now they will have to somehow evict eldritch horrors from the auditorium if they want the dance to even happen.

Content Warnings: Non-Serious/Comedic Game, Looney-Toons-Style Violence And Horror Effects, PCs Conflicts With Parents And Teachers (e.g. 'Being Grounded' Or 'Stuck In Detention')
