Raleigh Roads Litter Mapping, Pt III
Details
Do you like citizen science projects?! Come help us map the litter on Raleigh roads. TGRC as a member of the Upper Neuse Litter Reduction Coalition and Research Project (go.ncsu.edu/plastics), is recruiting volunteers to assign litter scores to roads in Raleigh. We aim to identify and document litter hotspots, creating a foundation for meaningful future cleanup efforts.
Folks will be driving in pairs around the Marsh Creek Watershed (~ 3 mile radius from Green Road Community Center) and visually scoring how littered roads are on a paper map. These volunteers will not be picking up litter. This event is being led by our partners at NC State, if you have questions please reach out to mhaley2@ncsu.edu.
