Distractions, Delays, Procrastination In Abiding in Self / Self-Investigation

Details
We all know it:
We experience the body aging over time and know it will eventually become frail, weak, sicken and die.
We experience the mind declining over time, constantly fluctuating during the day and know that it is subject to forgetfulness, dementia
and extinction.
Each night deep sleep proves to us that we exist even in the absence of body and thought.
Yet next morning the waking state finds us feeling again that we are a separate subject in a world full of objects, alienated, alone, suffering.
This pattern repeats year-in, year-out even as we know how the movie ends -- the main character is going to die.
Our senses keep us looking, watching, scrolling, numbing so that we never undertake the great human task of Self-investigation, Self-realization.
Let's reunite and chat on how we can be (more) disciplined to practice Self-investigation or to abide in the Self.
We'll end with a few minutes of shared Silence.
Although rooted in teachings from the Vedantic tradition, this meetup is open to all people who recognize that spiritual principles are inherent to and transcend all religions. You do not have to belong to any religion to attend. Bring yourself. Be yourself!
