Lake District Weekend

Hi everyone.

I’m planning a long weekend of hiking in the Lake District from Friday 4th August to Sunday 6th August inclusive. If you would be interested in that please let me know by simply making your RSVP “Yes”. No commitment at this stage. I would welcome your thoughts in the comments section below.

I will then post 3 individual events which you would sign up to in the usual way. I hope to have us based in Coniston so you might start now to research accommodation.

The (provisional) plan is as follows:

1. A short, afternoon scramble and hike at Jack’s Rake and Pavey Ark, starting at the New Dungeon Gill Hotel in Langdale.
2. A big scramble and hike from Scafell Pike to Scafell via Mickledore Gully and Lord's Rake, starting at Wasdale.
3. 7 Wainwrights, including the Old Man of Coniston, starting at Little Langdale and finishing in Coniston.
