Yin yoga and meditation can help reduce the risk of falls by improving balance, increasing awareness, and decreasing fear of falling. Yin Yoga targets your deep connective tissues, like fascia, ligaments, and joints. It is a slow, meditative style; focusing more on the mind-body connections. Poses are traditionally held for 3-5 minutes, which is designed for stretching and lengthening tissues. It teaches participants to breathe through discomfort and sit with their thoughts.
