CONNECT WITH NATURE SERIES: VOLUNTEERING WITH ORANGUTANS IN BORNEO

In the summer of 2025, Rancocas Naturalist Patty Rehn spent two weeks in Borneo volunteering with the world-renowned Samboja Lestari Orangutan Rescue Centre. She’ll share her fascinating experiences exploring the rainforest and what it was like to be part of an organization that cares for these resident primates. The work that the group does on enrichment, husbandry, reforestation, and conservation makes for a very interesting story. The program is free for Rancocas Nature Center members; $10/per person donation is suggested for nonmembers.
