Merriment Mondays - Jackbox Game Night

Welcome to Merriment Mondays, Jackbox Games Edition!

Who’s up for Fibbage? Trivia Murder Party? Quiplash? You Don’t Know Jack? Or anything else from Party Packs 4 – 7 as that’s all I own. haha

Let’s end this what looks to be a rainy Monday night with some laughs and good times.

I am not going to set an event limit. A few games allow for more than 8 players but most have audience overflow where your votes still count (and you can chat and hang out) The games are quick so if we get an awesome turnout, we have plenty of options. Hell - I'll be psyched if even a couple pop in for this on such short notice. Attempts must be made! 😊

Plan is to start playing by 7:30 so anyone who needs help, please pop in beforehand. Those who are familiar with Discord/Jackbox, plan to pop in by 7:30. Of course no one should feel obligated to stay entire time. The 7-10pm is a guide window to test for interest for future game nights.

How do we do this?
I use my Discord server and then stream the game to everyone in the chat room. Audio only is best as you will be watching the game so video chat can be distracting.

By the top of the rooms list there is a Game Night room. I will be in there shortly before 7pm.

I recommend using 2 devices if at all possible. Best option in my opinion is laptop/desktop with headset for Discord so the game is larger and you can talk with everyone and use your phone to play the game.

If anyone is interested but not familiar with Discord or needs help getting their tech sorted out, please reach out to me before the event time so I can help you get set up. Remember, goal is to be playing close to 7:30, not still helping people connect to Discord. I can dream…

For those of you who are new to Jackbox Games, hard to believe after the past 2 years of virtual life but, here goes… 😊

They are trivia or fill in the blank type games where everyone watches the game on a TV, or in our case streamed online, and each person plays on their phone. They tend to be adult in theme and humor and can be as dirty as you make them. Personally, the dirtier and more outrageous, the funnier the game becomes. But I am a child in a man’s body, e.g. the LEGO in my dining room.
