Random Strangers Jam ® aims to be the world's go-to jam session in every city and town around the world by sustaining a global music community where musicians and listeners find new inspiration, experiment with fresh ideas, and connect with creative individuals from all walks of life through fully improvised funk rock jam sessions organized by local hosts.
## OUR STORY
Random Strangers Jam ® is a 100% original and improvised interactive live music experience. Simply bring your instrument (drums, keys, amps, mics, PA/DI provided), be a stranger, and join the jam! Stay in the know about new upcoming jams by joining the RSJ community email list here.
Random Strangers Jam began in 2022 as an experimental concert experience by Berklee drummer Sky Demetri and now includes group members Alex Tovar (guitar), Samario Hardy (bass), and Maggie Loar (keys). The jam sessions have been running continously ever since.
After years of COVID forcing everyone indoors and into a default "observer" mode streaming TV and music, we've developed a show experience where YOU as an audience member become part of the actual performance.

Think back to those jams of yesteryear - that pure desire to have fun and create something new with other open minded people - and we've made that our show experience for anyone who wants to participate. Random Strangers Jam's longest residency was more than 60 shows over 2 years at Shrine World Music Venue in Harlem. RSJ's first residency was a 5-show series in 2022 to initially establish pinkFROG Williamsburg's Sunday Jams, followed by a 6-show residency at The Solera in Bushwick in partnership with Chelsea Records NY and Sustainable United Neighborhoods (SUN). Other recent shows include a series of 4 bi-monthly jam sessions at Rockwood Music Hall and a one-off session at Silvana Harlem.
Building on 3 successful years in NYC and a new federally registered trademark, Random Strangers Jam, LLC seeks business partners and investors to start jams in new locations.

Join Random Strangers Jam Monday March 30th for the return to Shrine and Sky's Birthday Celebration! RSJ is a fully improvised psychedelic funk rock jam session led by Sky Demetri and his band. Come prepared to create new music on the spot - every 5-7 minutes, half the band takes a seat and is replaced by musicians from the audience, the new group of random strangers jams on a fresh key and concept - and the rotation continues!
Join the email list and get official reservations at RandomStrangersJam.com! All jammers must sign in on the official sign up sheet. The sign up sheet becomes available in person 15 minutes before the jam. Drums, keys, mics, amps, and a PA/DI are provided, please bring all other instruments.
