Crazy Horse Memorial Volksmarch (Group Hike)

The Volksmarch is a 6 mile (10k) hike through the woods and hills of the Crazy Horse Memorial grounds, all the way up to the carving itself.

A group member who went last year says: "I highly recommend this since you actually get to hike up and onto the actual work surface. Spectacular views, a chance to meet the stone masons doing the carving, and ask questions about how they do the work, or just say hi. You can't do this at Mt. Rushmore!"

If I'm reading the website correctly, park admission will be $3 per person.

The weather sabotaged our last attempt at a hiking meetup, so I wanted to get another one onto the calendar. I've provisionally picked Saturday morning since that's the most convenient for me, but the Volksmarch is open both Saturday and Sunday and allows starting any time between 8:00AM and 1:00PM (as long as you're off the trail by 4:00).
