Ever hear five horns when on the water? You are invited to RYC’s Educational Seminars on Wednesday, January 29th @ RYC.
Our guest speaker is John DeCruz who is a NY/NJ Pilot with the Sandy Hook Pilot’s Association. John has over 27 years experience Piloting Ships into and out of New York Harbor. He is a graduate of Sate University of New York Maritime College. During his talk, Captain DeCruz will share his experiences while Piloting. You will find out a ship’s visibility, distance to stop a vessel and what options exist for a ship when a boat decides to cross in front of a deep draft vessel.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase from RYC’s Bar and Galley.
Bar and Galley open at 6PM. Presentation starts at 7PM.
