Details

This is Raspberry Pint, where we share our digital making experiences.
Most of our presentations are about building personal or professional projects with Raspberry Pis, Arduinos, ESP32s, Microbits, etc. We also welcome presentations about skills and techniques such as website design, PCB design, SW development, 3D printing, soldering, etc. Occasionally, we have had presentations about deep learning, big data, IoT, etc. and would love to hear about what you do in your hobby or professional life. All makers and all digital making welcome. The quirkier, the better.

Whilst more of our presentations are put onto an agenda, ad hoc presentations also happen, as well as people just bringing stuff to show.

Everyone is welcome to take part - we have no lower or upper age limit and all content is suitable for everyone.

Joining information is available on this page once you register.

We are available online and In Real Life. IRL is much better as you get to meet us in 3D! Venue is Blackfriars Road, London, SE1 8HL. Enter via the Computacenter main entrance, they're glass doors. The security staff will be aware that Raspberry Pint is being organised there. Michael Turner is the contact for Computacenter.

Check out our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/raspberrypint/) where the Raspberry Pint continues in between meetups.

We are also on YouTube, just search for Raspberry Pint.

## AGENDA

19:00 - 19:45 Richard Sewell: On taking your daft ideas seriously
Air Giants origin story, and rumination on how daft ideas turn into companies.

20:00- 20:45 Denis-Carl Robidoux: The Evolution of the Gugusse Roller.

The Gugusse Roller is a DIY machine which can transfer to digital any film format between 8mm and 35mm. Starting from a doomed complex mechanical design, then vaguely inspired by an unaffordable machine, the Gugusse Roller went through multiple phases. I will gladly describe the hurdles and breakthroughs that went into making this machine to work, how the camera HQ saved the day from a pernicious undocumented issue which plagued the previous cameras and I will tell you about the magical moment when 1 fast and easy line of code made the cut while I was expecting to work days and weeks on a specific task.
