Ultralearning: Retention, Intuition, Experimentation

Details
Ultralearning can be defined as a strategy for acquiring skills and knowledge that is both deep and broad, rapidly and efficiently.
The aim of the event is to learn about this learning strategy and develop the skills to be able to apply it to our own learning projects, whether they aim to master a new language, gain skills for a career change, or achieve academic excellence.
To guide our discussion about the practice of ultralearning, we will use the book Ultralearning by Scott H. Young, who is renowned for taking on ambitious learning projects, such as attempting to learn MIT's four-year computer science curriculum in just twelve months and learn four new languages in a year.
As we did with Atomic Habits by James Clear, we are going to chat about this book over several events.
In the fourth event of this Ultralearning series we will focus on Chapters 10-12: Retention, Intuition, Experimentation
The tentative schedule for all the discussions on ultralearning is the following:
- How to Become an Ultralearner (Chapters 1-3, Friday 24 May)
- Ultralearning: Metalearning, Focus and Directness (Chapters 4-6, 14th June)
- Ultralearning: Drill, Retrieval, and Feedback (Chapters 7 – 9, 5th July)
- Ultralearning: Retention, Intuition, Experimentation (Chapters 10-12, 26th July)
