Hi everyone! This month, we are switching things up at Ravali & Ashish’s Apartment Cafe. To celebrate the holiday weekend, we’re hosting a Korean-themed potluck!

### The Inspiration: From Seoul to LA

While we’re celebrating in Dublin, we’re taking inspiration from the vibrant culinary scene of Los Angeles. LA has a significant Korean population, and over the decades, Korean food has truly evolved there. From the legendary K-Town BBQ spots to the innovative fusion of the Kogi trucks, Los Angeles has helped shape how the world experiences Korean flavors today. We want to bring that same spirit of evolution and community to our table!

### How it Works

To ensure we have a well-rounded spread—whether you're bringing traditional Seoul classics or LA-inspired fusion—please post in the comments what you plan to bring!

  • Main Dishes: (e.g., Bulgogi, Japchae, Korean Fried Chicken, or Galbi)
  • Side Dishes (Banchan): (e.g., Kimchi, pickled radish, seasoned bean sprouts, or potato salad)
  • Appetizers/Street Food: (e.g., Tteokbokki, Gimbap, or Mandu)
  • Desserts: (e.g., Hotteok, Yakwa, or sweet rice punch)

### Entry & Drink Tiers

To help cover cleanup and ensure a commitment from everyone, we have two entry tiers for this event:

  • $10 Standard Entry: Includes sparkling water and a themed non-alcoholic beverage, plus covers event hosting/cleanup.
  • $20 Premium Entry: Includes everything in the standard tier plus your choice of two themed Korean cocktails.

### Important Dietary Notes

  • Ingredients: Authentic Korean dishes frequently rely on seafood/fish sauce, soy, dairy, and sesame.
  • Allergies: Because this is a communal potluck with dishes coming from different kitchens, we cannot guarantee an allergy-free environment and are unable to accommodate any food-based allergies. Please participate at your own discretion.
