It’s all connected: evening with Russian LGBTQ (and more!) activists

Details
The rights of many groups of people in Russia deteriorated rapidly after the full scale invasion of Ukraine. New repressive laws target independent media, oppositional politicians, civil rights activists, LGBTQ people and more.
But just like the state repression machine targets multiple groups, it is opposed by activists, who often work in multiple fields, protecting both LGBTQ people and conscientious objectors, advocating for human rights regardless of gender, sexual preference or ethnic and cultural identity.
During the Stockholm Pride Week Antikrigskommittén i Sverige «Russians Against War» and Östgruppen invite you to meet Valeriia Vetoshkina and Katya Dikovskaya of Movement of Conscientious Objectors and activists from Feminist Anti-War Resistance. Our guests will show how their challenges intertwine and paint a picture of what has to be done in Russia if it is ever going to be a democratic and fair society.
You will also have the opportunity to meet other Russian LGBTQ activists that are visiting Stockholm Pride.
Please register at inga.ollars@ostgruppen.se by July 28th!
