Ryan will walk us through a project that turns handwritten notes into searchable content on a website using AWS Lambda, Amazon Textract, S3, API Gateway, and CloudFront.
He'll demonstrate how a photo uploaded through Discord can trigger a serverless workflow that transcribes handwritten notes, organizes them by subject, and publishes them to a static website.
Ryan will also cover how he used Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Claude Code to build and deploy the solution, sharing practical lessons about event-driven architecture, automation, and building real projects on AWS.

I'll also be walking through how to build and deploy your first personal website using Hugo and AWS.
