Vaughan Woods, South Berwick Maine

Details
Hello Spring Peepers,
Here's a nice easy hike in southern Maine that has a historic building and grounds with gardens.
Some of the trails follows the Salmon Falls river. It's a popular place so expect to see others on the trails. The trails are in decent shape. There are some ups and downs, but nothing serious. There's the usual rocks, ruts roots and uneven surfaces to be aware of. Don't forget the ticks are out. Expect other nuisance bugs so insect protection is suggested. I have a few nets, if while walking you want one, let me know. Bring some drinking water. Bring a snack if you desire one. This is in the woods so most of the time you will be shaded from the sun.
The bathrooms there were closed last time I went. I suspect since it's close to summer, the bathrooms may be open.
We'll hike in light rain or drizzly weather. Not if there's thunder or lightning. Please wear comfortable clothing and appropriate hiking footwear.
There's an upper and lower parking lot. The lower parking lot may be closed. That lot has a metal container to drop off donations. The upper lot usually fills so I recommend car pooling and arriving early.
Any questions or concerns, call me 603-339-2054 or message me here.
