Pawtuckaway State Park hike to Fire Tower and back

Details
Greetings hikers.
Pawtuckaway state park is mostly in Nottingham. Off route 156. For those who want a challenging intermediate hike, we'll hike to the fire tower from the main parking area. The parking area has an outhouse. The green latrine is accessible from the trails. Plan on this being at least a 3 hour hike. This is an intermediate hike. There is a lot of up & downhill. That makes things tricky if wet.
There's a decent view at the top depending on clouds. The trails are wide until we get within 200 vertical feet of the tower. Expect a 4+ mile walk. On hikes like this bring at least a liter of water & snacks or a small meal. If it is hot & or muggy, bring 2 liters. If you have any medical issues that this hike could aggravate, let me know about them before hike day. Cell coverage is spotty. Please don't be insulted if I check your footwear. Make sure your footwear is broken in. Footwear that supports the ankle is advised because your feet & ankles will be tested on the rocky & wet trails. We won't cross any major streams. I'll assume everyone who signs up has done intermediate hikes. Sorry to be so cautionary, but it's for everyone's safety & comfort. My objective is to offer a challenging hike & that will be an enjoyable & safe experience. Please come prepared & on time. 603-339-2054 if you're late, cancel last minute or have questions.
